This workshop will give you a variety of ways to approach this new medium YUPO. James will show you how to take advantage of the abstract, flowing ‘liquid’ look of wet into wet application and experiment with texturing. This surface allows colors to be more intense, giving a stained glass look that is amazing, and makes lifting easy, allowing a push-pull method of composition. He will discuss design and how to go from the crazy accidental abstraction to finished work. He will also help you tame YUPO to do representational work with flattening washes, graded washes and more. Participants can expect to complete 2 paintings in the three days and just have fun.
