Demo Artist: Stan Fellows - Watercolor Journaling

7.00 pm to 9.00 pm

Christ Presbyterian Church

6901 Normandale Rd, Edina, MN 55435

Stan Fellows enjoys teaching how to combine watercolor with journaling to make a unique and beautiful record of everyday life. He teaches tips on how to make journaling fun, interesting, and memorable. Stan says, “By practicing daily in unremarkable circumstances, we get over the instinct to judge whether or not something deserves entry into our book. Better to get in the habit of simply observing whatever is in front of us, and by so doing let beauty have a chance to surprise us.”

Stan has worked as an artist and illustrator for over thirty five years, beginning his artistic career in his native Minnesota, and is now based in Longmont, Colorado. He attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, with additional studies at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. He taught watercolor painting and illustration at MCAD and has illustrated for national magazines, newspapers, corporate clients, and children’s books.  His clients include the magazine Audubon; The Chicago Tribune; National Geographic, Atlantic Monthly; Harper's; Sports Illustrated; The Smithsonian Magazine; and The Wall Street Journal.
