• Karen Knutson will be the speaker/demonstrator for the Lake Country Pastel Society meeting on March 9th at 7:00 p.m. The meeting is held at the Perpich Center for Arts Education, 6125 Olson Memorial Highway. Golden Valley, MN. Karen’s demo will emphasize good design, and how she thinks abstractly. Karen will be teaching an exciting abstract mixed media workshop at Madeline Island in August 23 – 27th. • Karen Knutson won an award of excellence for her painting, Time Machine, at the Elk River Area Alliance of the Arts Exhibition. She also has paintings featured in two new books; The Artistic Touch 3, by Chris Unwin and Watercolor Without Boundaries, by Karlyn Holman. These books will be released in March, 2010.
