Back by popular demand, it's time for our annual outdoor demo at Parley Lake Winery!
The Minnesota Watercolor Society is thrilled to welcome MNWS president Daniel Kuchenbecker as our May demo artist!
Dan studied art, design and education at University of Wisconsin-Stout, graduating in 2012 with a BS in Art Education. He also has a masters in Learning Design and Technology.
“My paintings have a very simple theme; I want to create an appreciation for the immediate beauty around us. It is amazing how a scene or object can be banal one minute, only to be transformed into something intriguing and beautiful by a simple change in light, time of day, weather, or season. Painting scenery has altered the way I perceive the world around me. Every drive up the highway is a slideshow of breathtaking landscapes. Every walk through the city is a compilation of short stories captured in a single frame.”

We encourage members to arrive early and paint! Food, wine and other beverages will be available for purchase on site, or feel free to bring anything you'd like.
Daniel will be demonstrating outdoors, so plan accordingly! Meeting will move indoors if the weather is bad. Zoom will not be available for this event due to wi-fi limitations, but we plan to record the event to share afterwards.
