Zoom Critique: Dan Mondloch
September Meeting
For the third year, the Minnesota Watercolor Society is offering members the opportunity to have their work critiqued by Dan Mondloch live on Zoom! All members are encouraged to submit artwork for consideration. Our aim is that the artist, as well as all Zoom participants, will leave this session feeling inspired and having learned some helpful tips that could improve their work.
Entry Details:
- MNWS members may submit up to two paintings by email to: program@minnesotawatercolors.com
- Use email subject line: November Critique
- Painting images must be named as follows: LastName_FirstName_ArtworkTitle
- One supporting image per painting may be submitted, a reference photo. Supporting image must be named as follows: LastName_FirstName_ArtworkTitle_Reference
- Image files should be no larger than 3.5MB.
- Entrants must be able to attend the Minnesota Watercolor Society zoom meeting on November 12, 2026.
- Entries accepted September 15 - October 15, 2026.

Dan Mondloch is an award-winning third-generation painter and watercolor instructor whose work has been featured in PleinAir Magazine, Watercolor Artist, and Southwest Art. His recent honors include the Jean Stern Legacy Award at the Laguna Invitational and Best of Show at Grand Marais Plein Air.
Dan teaches through a variety of venues, including his online classes and at the White Bear Lake Center for the Arts. He lives in Cold Spring, Minnesota, with his wife, Mallory; their sons, Jack and Drew; their daughter, Emma; and Ruby, his faithful plein air painting canine companion.
