Announcing the Minnesota Watercolor Society annual spring juried exhibition, “Pushing Pigments” a fun, whimsical description of what we all enjoy doing as we put brush to paper. We all demonstrate our creativity and stretch our limits by pushing the color, values, and even the composition of our paintings to show our willingness to expand the possibilities of pigment on paper. From delicate washes that dissolve into the atmosphere to bold, saturated strokes that command the page, we want to highlight water media’s ability to shift effortlessly between control and spontaneity. We look forward to seeing how you best push pigments around the paper, for our next exhibition!
This spring we are excited to have the show registration take place in our new website. In addition, we've simplified the entry fee structure for the spring exhibition since the newsletters went out. We will have one entry fee of $40, and members can enter up to two pieces for that fee. We hope you will choose your two best pieces for our jurist to choose from for the show!
