MNWS Virtual Demo Artist – Cris Franchevich
7: 00 pm to 8:00 pm
"New Date! "Sketching an Urban Landscape in Watercolor" with Cris Franchevich has been re-scheduled for Thursday, August 20th at 7 pm.
Please mark your calendars for the new date! We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to bring you outstanding original programming.
Cris Franchevich is both an architect and a visual artist originally from Brazil, who has lived and worked in Minneapolis for over 20 years with her husband and two daughters. An avid traveler, Cris sees the city with the eyes of an "andarilho", a Portuguese word for explorer or wanderer discovering new territory. Cris navigates between the realm of figurative and abstract work. What begins as watercolor sketches painted on-site, develops in studio into mixed media paintings. Her art is similar to how her journeys are made; stepping away from the comfort zone of the studio and seeking new experiences. Cris Franchevich teaches watercolor workshops locally and abroad.
