This month’s artist is Carol Wingard, who will be demonstrating her watercolor batik process which uses rice paper and wax in addition to watercolor. She first learned about the batik method when she attended a class taught by Kathie George.
Carol says “I enjoy the process as another way to achieve interesting results with watercolor, and you never know exactly how the finished painting will look, which I find intriguing and super fun!” Carol will describe her supplies, the steps in her batik process, and show us some surprise steps at the end.
